For example, the sliders and knobs control mix levels and pan positions in the mixer or the parameters of the selected virtual instrument or effect; and the velocity-sensitive backlit RGB pads can be used to launch clips in the Session View or trigger percussion sounds in the Drum Rack. Meanwhile, the transport buttons (play, stop, rewind, etc) always control recording and playback.
